THE JOB AND ITS REQUIREMENTS
Build the fuel cell development team and lead this team to coordinate the design, simulation, development and benchmarking testing activities needed to deliver close-to-production and future-looking projects. Lead programs to benchmark BOP and PEM fuel cell systems in collaboration with technology partners and internal innovation. Test latest claims from US DOE and suppliers to create a “state of the art database” on status of targets vs. what is possible near and far term. Create a PEM fuel cell technology roadmap to guide the research plan for internal and inorganic initiatives that will deliver the fuel cell technology to the businesses within the anticipated time frame. Create the planning and budget plan required to deliver the technology roadmap and ensure that the funding is tracked in the appropriate simulation and annual operating plans of R&D. Establish strong relationships with the US and international National Labs, Universities, and Industry in order to monitor the fuel cell technology developments. Create and Manage Nikola Motor Intellectual Property for MEA, Fuel Cell Stack development also generating empirical data proving Patents and innovations. Manage purpose built full stack, system climate test cells including reporting and management updates.
Extensive experience with fuel cell development and a relevant degree are required.
