THE JOB AND ITS REQUIREMENTS Work within our engineering team to implement and maintain configuration management of critical company data including drawings, test plans, reports, and design reviews. 1+ years’ experience in engineering, technology, and configuration management is required. Need to be familiar with product lifecycle management systems (PLM) and SolidWorks. A mechanical engineering degree or similar in technology is also required. Automotive or heavy-duty experience a plus.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES: * Maintain engineering bill of materials and status * Utilize PLM system for data management * Utilize Solidworks 2017 CAD and Solidworks PDM * Coordinate with Configuration Control on design releases and disposition of inventory * Prototype part and assembly inventory management and procurement * Determine suppliers for components and assemblies as needed * Communicate with outside suppliers regarding part and assembly quotes, lead times, status and quality requirements * Maintains professional relationships, including frequent and open effective communication with internal and external stakeholders
QUALIFICATIONS & QUALITIES: * BS in Mechanical Engineering, Technology Degree or similar * 1+ years of experience * Working knowledge of Solidworks and Solidworks PDM * Excellent computer skills. PLM experience a plus. * Possess excellent problem-solving skills, ability to identify and develop new ideas and initiatives, able to turn ideas into practical working systems and procedures; creative, hands-on mentality * Good organizational skills and ability to work with deadlines is a must to be successful in this position * Possess good decision-making abilities with sound leadership qualities yet open, respectful and convincing * Believes in sustainability and our vision
