THE JOB AND ITS REQUIREMENTS: Work within our hydrogen storage team to confirm the safety performance of the hydrogen on-board fuel storage system against external stressors including collision, crash and fire. Define and optimize the fueling performance of the fuel system to achieve timely and safe 100% state of charge fills. 3+ years of experience in the use of structural analysis, fluid dynamics and thermal analysis computational tools, preferably in an automotive environment. BS in mechanical engineering or similar.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES: * Structural analysis/modeling of the hydrogen on-board fuel system using computational techniques to confirm crash and acceleration performance using ANSYS, etc. * CFD analysis of the fueling process to determine performance and optimize the design of fuel storage system, recognizing known system input parameters of gas pressure, temperature, flowrate and system pressure drop, and fuel system design and construction (composite pressure vessel) using ANSYS, etc. * Thermal analysis of external heat stressors and their relationship to the performance/durability of the on-board hydrogen pressure vessels * Communicate and coordinate results with the hydrogen storage team and external parties * Document and maintain company documents, including analysis approach, assumptions, results, etc. * Maintain professional relationships, including frequent and open effective communication with internal and external stakeholders

QUALIFICATIONS AND QUALITIES: * BS in mechanical engineering or similar * 3+ years experience with structural analysis, fluid dynamics and thermal analysis computational tools, preferably within an automotive environment * Possess excellent problem-solving skills, ability to identify and develop new ideas and initiatives, able to turn ideas into practical working systems and procedures; creative, hands-on mentality * Good organizational skills and ability to work with deadlines is a must to be successful in this position * Possess good decision-making abilities with sound leadership qualities yet open, respectful and convincing * Believes in sustainability and our vision *Experience working with compressed hydrogen a plus.
