Nikola Motor Company is on the lookout for an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to manage communication, calibration, and timing with suppliers for the development of electrical harnesses, devices and components that will be used on Nikola vehicles.

You Will:

  • Provide and communicate understanding of both the technical and programmatic aspects of a project to the project team as well as the engineering team.
  • Manage complex subcontracts and support new product development opportunities.
  • Assess risk and make risk-based decisions throughout project lifecycle to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Support effective communication between the different engineering teams and the suppliers.
  • Lead product development for electrical devices.
  • Work closely with the electrical teams to successfully drive development for 2022 vehicle launch
  • Work with engineering and program to develop master timing schedule
  • Manage electrical Jira projects to report status and escalate any high-risk issues
  • Collaborate with Electrical engineering Director to ensure cohesive communication between the domains
  • Track and monitor electrical system development to ensure timely execution for launch
  • Continuously support electrical team and help identify and/or fill in any necessary gaps
  • Assist Senior management in continuously improving reporting systems and engineering methodologies
  • Develop and manage a project timeline using Ms. Project.
  • Perform other duties, as necessary.

 You Have:

  • Familiarity with battery or fuel cell electric vehicles
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business-related fields.
  • 3 years of professional experience
  • 1 years of experience with battery-electric, fuel-cell electric, and or electric hybrid vehicle

Candidates must have current U.S. work authorization or be TN eligible from Mexico or Canada.  This position is not eligible for CPT or OPT.
