We’re currently on the lookout for a Hardware in the Loop (HIL) Validation Engineering Manager. In this position, you will own and lead the development and integration of test cases for ECU testing. The position is responsible for setting up test stands and developing the Pass/Fail test criteria. You will work closely with the controller module to gain approval for test plans and test coverage during solution development. The ideal candidate will have exceptional interpersonal skills and be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

You Will:

  • Build, lead, and mentor a world-class HIL engineering team
  • Build and maintain HIL test benches to support multiple ECUs
  • Develop HIL (Hardware in the Loop) verification & validation tests for newly developed control systems
  • Write detailed test specifications based on the high-level testing requirements
  • Based on the detailed test specifications, implement the detailed plant models in MATLAB/ Simulink environment to run over Speedgoat environment to validate the ECU
  • Develop the tests according to the detailed test specifications in the test management system
  • Manage and organize the high-level test requirements
  • Manage and organize the detailed test specifications
  • Analyze the test results and test measurements, and report to the control system developers

 You Have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, (preferred MS Degree)
  • 10+ years’ experience in automotive, Truck & off-Highway, Agricultural Equipment, Heavy Equipment, or Aerospace industries
  • Experience in development & testing of embedded control systems
  • Experience in HIL simulations systems, dSpace, speedgoat
  • Familiarity with control electronics, sensors, and/or actuators
  • Experience leading or managing teams
  • Automotive hardware and firmware manufacturing test development
  • Willingness to grow and be challenged
  • Proficient in the following tools:
    • Programming: C/C++ , Python
    • Communication Networks: CAN, LIN
    • Model-based development: Matlab, Simulink

Candidates must have current U.S. work authorization or be TN eligible from Mexico or Canada. This position is not eligible for CPT or OPT.
