We’re currently on the lookout for an High Voltage Device 3D Engineer to manage the packaging of the wire harnesses using 3D modeling software.

You Will:
  • Design and work on High voltage distribution box, layout wiring and assembly
  • Work with busbar sizing and design standards
  • Low voltage components and electronics placement, contactor, fuse, sense leads and and housing
  • Create detailed CAD models and drawings
  • Power electronics modules, filters, busbars packaging
  • Develop component specifications and work with suppliers
  • Maintain and release BOMs thru PLM system
  • Support and develop DFMA
  • Support manufacturing, internal and contract, for prototype and production builds
You Have:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 5+ years automotive industry experience
  • Experience with high power and high voltage components packaging including power modules, busbars, fuses, contactors
  • High level of skill in 3D modeling (CATIA )
  • Understanding of creepage and clearance
  • Wiring experience, routing, connection methods and conductor selection
  • Design for metals manufacturing methods including machining, stamping, punching and casting
  • Design for plastics manufacturing methods including injection molding and extrusion
  • Knowledge of GD&T per ASME Y14.5
  • Understanding of power components heat generation
  • Understanding of safety of conductive materials and grounding
  • Experience with ground up requirements definition and supplier management
  • Experience with DFMEAs and DVPs
  • Experience designing and releasing parts and systems according to a new product introduction process that includes lifecycle management (Enovia PLM preferred), FMEAs, standards for drawings and defined milestones
  • Previous experience with utility scale and commercial & industrial energy storage systems is a plus
