The Purchasing & Scheduling Coordinator will be part of a team, responsible for the validation of Nikola’s class 8 commercial vehicles.

We are looking for a candidate with good problem-solving skills along with first-hand knowledge of accounting programs and complex scheduling techniques.

Additionally, you will:

  • Be responsible for all buying needs for the validation team, including our garage technicians and engineering staff.
  • Maintain our travel schedule for the team, ensuring adequate coverage exists in our off-site and local testing facilities.
  • Use of ERP for executing buying activities.
  • Work closely with our management staff to support their buying and personnel scheduling needs.
  • Operate within an agile process to successfully meet our milestones
  • Be open minded and look for opportunities to improve processes.
  • Collaborate closely across departments; vehicle engineering, fuel cells, controls, battery, etc.

Success in this role requires someone with experience in a purchasing/buying competency, as well as a detail oriented individual able to respond quickly to changing demands. Additionally, the role requires:

  • Five or more years’ experience working with purchasing programs (ERP preferred).
  • Familiarity with vehicle systems.
  • Experience managing logistics challenges and shifting time demands.
  • Ability to suggest or recommend streamlined approaches to perform activities related to buying and scheduling.
  • Effective communication skills, written and oral, to all levels of the organization
  • High Energy / Flexible / Adaptable / Dynamic / “can-do” attitude
  • Ability to influence and thrive within a rapidly changing / growing organization
Candidates must have current U.S. work authorization or be TN eligible from Mexico or Canada. This position is not eligible for CPT or OPT.
