This role is based at Ulm, Germany and would require relocation to the Ulm area.

Come join the Nikola Motor’s Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) Team as a Sr. ADAS Technician. To enable Nikola vehicles with the highest ADAS technology and Autonomous features.

What you’ll own:
  • Building wire harness assemblies and install ADAS sensors
  • The installation of data acquisition systems to collect sensor data
  • Conducting wiring prove outs, to ensure wiring has been installed per the schematics
  • Support ADAS Validation Testing
  • Your contribution will enable our (hydrogen) full cell (FCV) semi-trucks, and Battery trucks (BEV)
  • Be a critical player in the integration and vehicle validation of ADAS here at Nikola
Do your capabilities include:
  • Wiring Electric Vehicles
  • Installing data acquisition systems
  • Willing to travel (up to 30%) to support test activities
  • Having a Commercial Driver’s License, or the ability to get one
What you “MUST” already bring to the table:
  • Associates degree, diploma or a certificate in Automotive Technology or Automotive Technician. Or equivalent (and proven) work experience in an automotive technician related field
  • At least 5 years of experience as a ADAS Technician
  • Experience working with Electric Vehicles (EV) is a must
  • Expertise in Vehicle electric wiring
  • Working experience mounting sensors and installing data acquisition systems
  • Abilities reading and interpreting electric schematics and technical specs.
  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean record
Additional “nice to have” Profile Characteristic:
  • ADAS Validation experience
  • Knowledge of vehicle electronics including: Vehicle Communication Systems (CAN, Vector products, etc.)
Candidates must have current German work authorization for working in the EU.
