Nikola Motor Company is on the lookout for an experienced EE Systems Project Engineer to manage communication, calibration, and timing with suppliers for the development of custom parts that will be used on Nikola vehicles.

You Will:

  • Serve as a prototype truck owner to oversee and approve vehicle testing, resources, change requests being implemented in the vehicle
  • Understand dependencies and coordinate software releases with design release engineers within a Nikola platform
  • Help perform linking of Nikola's top level requirements such as customer features, homologation requirements, and regulatory standards to the applicable electrical/electronic system requirements.
  • Coordinate dependencies within the different groups in Nikola's Electrical and Controls group to achieve a project's goals and timing
  • Interact with suppliers and internal groups daily to communicate any technical issues that arise with components that are owned by the electrical and controls department 
  • Assist in resolving any technical inquiries relating to supplied components by the electrical and controls department
  • Maintain specifications and the internal product wiki for E/E parts used in our vehicles
  • Manage activities for design validation planning and reporting across suppliers
  • Manage the deliverables of component related documentation to other groups within Nikola

 You Have:

  • Familiarity with battery or fuel cell electric vehicles
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant physics or engineering study
  • 3 years of professional experience
  • 3 years of experience with battery-electric, fuel-cell electric, and or electric hybrid vehicle

Candidates must have current U.S. work authorization or be TN eligible from Mexico or Canada. This position is not eligible for CPT or OPT.
