THE JOB AND ITS REQUIREMENTS:

We’re on the lookout for a Senior Fuel Cell Test Technician to support all the test and validation needs of our Fuel Cell Systems (FCS). In this role, you will be responsible for lab upkeep, test bench setup and installation on the test bed, instrumentation, performing tests according to test procedures, and supporting data reporting.

Additionally, you will:

  • Champion hydrogen and high voltage safety and be responsible for the safety of others for any work done on the Fuel Cell Systems (FCS)
  • Ensure that the lab supplies are in optimal order to fulfill the testing needs
  • Commission the FCS following procedures provided
  • Support prototype validation testing and commissioning
  • Ensure build schedules and program milestones are met
  • Collaborate with engineering and communicate issues succinctly and with agility
  • Be involved in all aspects of component and system-level assembly of the FCS
  • Work jointly with the engineering and validation teams to implement tests which will validate the functions, interfaces, and interactions of the system
  • Maintain part and system inventory, and clearly communicate shortages or quality concerns

You have:

  • College or Associates degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or relevant related certifications and/or experience
  • Minimum 8 years of experience working at a Fuel Cell test facility
  • A strong foundation in hydrogen fuels
  • A strong foundation in High Voltage systems
  • The ability to work effectively in a cross functional group setting, including essential technical assistance to support R&D Engineers
  • The ability to work independently
  • The ability to deliver succinct written and verbal communication and make timely decisions
  • Hands-on technical experience debugging complex mechanical and/or electrical systems
  • Creative capacity for developing new ways to integrate complex systems better and faster in alignment with the aggressive industry approach to revolutionary product development
  • Motivation and able to manage multiple assignments concurrently with limited supervision, including for day-to-day operations
