Nikola Motor Company is on the lookout for an experienced E/E Systems Technical Project Manager to manage and report on the inputs and outputs of the E/E Systems team.

You Will:

  • Represent the E/E Systems team's deliverables towards European based projects.
  • Work with engineering teams to create and maintain a project's list of E/E component along with their specifications.
  • Coordinate with engineering teams to facilitate E/E architecture requirements impacting externally owned components.
  • Facilitate design timing and resolution of issues with teams in Europe and the USA.
  • Report out the status of E/E System's releases to our internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate impacts driven by our systems with other groups within electrical and controls such as the firmware, controls, and integration teams.
  • Help perform linking and create awareness of Nikola's top level requirements such as customer features, homologation requirements, and regulatory standards to the applicable electrical/electronic system owners.
  • Evaluate program timing against current engineering initiatives to identify timing and technical risks.
  • Create engineering work requests through Jira and facilitate gathering of inputs required for that work request

 You Have:

  • Familiarity with battery or fuel cell electric vehicles
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant physics, engineering study, or project manager
  • 5 years of professional experience
  • 5 years of experience with battery-electric, fuel-cell electric, and or electric hybrid vehicle


  • Familiar with statistics reporting of releases and tasks in Jira
  • Familiar with automotive communication mediums CAN, Ethernet, LIN
  • Knowledge of electrical/electronic systems

Candidates must have current German work authorization for working in the EU
